ME
Michelle Elmgren. Business Owner. Producer. Programmer.
Who am I?
Hello, game developer here! My name is Michelle and I am owner of and developer at Dreaming Elm Games LLC. I graduated from Full Sail University with my Bachelor of Science in Game Design back in 2017 and use it to help others (and myself) create games!
Video and board game enthusiast, traveler, and book nerd are also other ways to describe me. My spare time is spent hiking, reading some awesome books, watching movies, and going on adventures with my fiancé and his son. In the future I see myself as a hardworking Programmer on a creative development team, by maintaining a professional work ethic and developing my skills.
How can I help?
Assisting project development teams in any way possible are opportunities I look forward to. Since my skill range varies I can adapt to filling any role on the team as needed in order to achieve results. I have developed leadership skills from previous management roles and having previously taught game design techniques in small groups. Technical skills I have learned include familiarity with usability testing, building and rendering assets, blocking and building levels, and coding. My diverse experience allows for some flexibility in where I can operate as a valuable team member.
What do I do?

I enjoy designing and developing player interactions, because of my fascination with the power of player choice that gameplay has the potential to offer. It is my goal to program gameplay behaviors and produce game levels that have positive and meaningful impact on gameplay. Previous work has given me level design and coding experience with Unreal Engine. Throughout my education I have had about three years of experience using Unity 3D and coding in C#. Although I love working in tons of different areas of game development and can create art using Maya as well, I enjoy programming gameplay behaviors and player interactions most.
What am I working on?

Currently, I am working with another game developer to produce and outdoor yard game! While my primary experience previously has been digital work, I am excited to apply my technical design experience and production skills to a project that is going to bring fun to family and friends!
I am also currently doing design for a point and click horror game, that will be soon in development phase!
What can others expect if they work with me?
Working with you would be awesome! Simply, I achieve goals and deliver results. My penchant for problem solving allows me to work in creative ways. I would rather work with you to learn and search for how something can be done, than accept any limits. I enjoy collaborative work and motivating teams toward success.
If I fit the needs of your creative team, please contact me to find out more about how we can work together.
